We thought about What is the media for us.

Does it extend our sense such as seeing, touching hearing, smelling, tasting? Or, isn't it a prosthesis ? Many people say that the latter is much better. It seems that human got a extraordinary sensing without losing anything. But in fact, We lose our some part of power when we use the new media.

For example, Many people use the computer for writing something. They can write something faster and more efficient by computer than by hands. It will be possiple that they say "It is the expendation. When we use the computer, we can write easy.". But is it really fact? No. They lose a skill of hand wirting. Many people feels hard to write by hands. and the shape of letter become bad. Computer can be prosthesis. Many people can't write something without computer.

The media technology have become a part of humans! Computer, Internet, TV, etc... Many people can't live without that. The media became the prothesis.

Do you know "GongGak Gidongdae"? It is a SF animation. The material of animation is Cyborg. The background of animation is the future. People in animation studied that how human can live eternally. They solve the problem using Cyborg. They replace all parts of body except brain with machines. So they can live eternally. It is so profound animation. The media technology became a human almost.

I feel that I can't live anymore without media. I'm always living media. Computer, Internet, Tv, News paper, etc... All is the media. If every media is gone, How we live? Media Technologies are being parts of our life. We can say Media is one of Prothesis.
Is it possible Cyborg in the future?. If it is possible, the world become terrible. I can't permit cyborg. I hope that the cyborg won't show up.
